Remote Work - A New Labor Model of the Modern Era - FChain

In recent years, the rapid development of technology has led to profound changes in the world of work. One of the most significant outcomes of this transformation is the widespread adoption of the remote (distance) work model. Especially after the pandemic, this model has evolved from being merely an alternative into a standard form of employment for many companies and employees.

The advancement of digital technologies, the accessibility of online communication tools, and the emergence of flexible management models have further facilitated the implementation of remote work. Today, professional activity is no longer confined to physical office spaces — employees are now able to perform their professional functions from various locations in a more flexible and efficient manner.

These global changes are also reflected in the national legal framework. The inclusion of the concept of “remote work” in the Labor Code signifies the official legal recognition of this model. According to the legislation:

Remote (distance) work means the performance of labor functions outside the workplace using means that allow for remote execution, including electronic, software-technical, or other similar tools.

This approach not only marks the beginning of a new stage in labor relations, but also creates broad opportunities for both employers and employees in terms of flexibility, productivity, and the preservation of work–life balance.
