US tech giants are the most investable stocks in Czechia, though the strongly performing Prague Stock Exchange makes Czech firms good investment choices.<\/h3>\n

Investing is a relatively popular activity for\u00a0people in\u00a0Czechia, with around one in three adults saying they invest \u201cregularly.\u201d Investment platform eToro has revealed the most popular stocks\u00a0to invest in\u00a0for those living in Czechia, which range from tech companies to commerce corporations, as well as current investment trends. The Czech stock market, which recently reached its highest value since mid-2008, is also a pull for\u00a0Czechia-based\u00a0investors.<\/h3>\n

US companies are favorites for Czechs<\/h3>\n

As of the first quarter of 2024, people in Czechia using eToro \u2013 with over 180,000 users based in the country \u2013 most frequently invest in automotive firm Tesla.\u00a0The\u00a0U.S.\u00a0company headed by Elon Musk has, however,\u00a0seen share prices fall in the last six months \u2013 from around USD 250 (CZK 5,800) in January to USD 184 today.<\/p>\n

For\u00a0people in Czechia, tech giant Apple is the second most popular company to invest in.\u00a0Although its share price dropped from USD 185 in early January to USD 165, it has recently recovered to its January level.<\/p>\n

Long-term Apple rival Microsoft is the third-most-popular stock for Czechia-based investors. Good news for investors in this tech company \u2013 its share price has risen by one-third since\u00a0this time\u00a0last year, now standing at around USD 411.\u00a0This\u00a0is consistent with the\u00a0U.S.\u00a0firm becoming more popular for investors in Czechia; in the first quarter of\u00a02023\u00a0it was people\u2019s fifth choice.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”6770″ img_size=”large”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tech company Nvidia has become more popular with people in Czechia \u2013 in the last quarter of 2023, it was the seventh-most popular stock, and now it ranks fourth.\u00a0Impressively, the\u00a0share price of the firm, which (among other things) supplies graphics processing units, has more than doubled since early January, hovering around USD 918 today.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”6768″ img_size=”large”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Meta, Apple, and Alphabet popular and rising in value<\/h3>\n

On the other hand,\u00a0U.S.\u00a0e-commerce firm Amazon has dropped in popularity \u2013 going from Czechia\u2019s third-favorite stock to fifth.\u00a0This\u00a0is despite its share price rising from USD 150 at the turn of this year to USD 187\u00a0now.<\/p>\n

Well-known tech firm Meta is Czechia-based investors\u2019 sixth-choice stock.\u00a0Like Amazon, it has declined in popularity among domestic\u00a0investors,\u00a0but increased in\u00a0value:\u00a0climbing over 30 percent since early\u00a02024,\u00a0to USD 461 per share\u00a0now.<\/p>\n

Tech company Alphabet, which owns the Google search engine, and e-commerce company Alibaba are Czechia\u2019s seventh and eighth most popular stocks\u00a0respectively. The former\u2019s stock has grown in value since the year-earlier period (by about 60 percent), although the latter has fluctuated substantially in the same period.<\/p>\n

Notably, Nio has the cheapest share price of\u00a0all of\u00a0Czechia\u2019s favorite stocks, at\u00a0just\u00a0USD 5 per share.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

AI: A hot trend in Czechia\u2019s investment<\/h3>\n

People in Czechia are increasingly investing in stocks\u00a0relating\u00a0to artificial intelligence (AI)\u00a0\u2013\u00a0and even using\u00a0the\u00a0technology to make their investments.<\/p>\n

In its\u00a0Investor Beat survey<\/a>\u00a0for the first quarter of 2024, eToro\u00a0found that one-third of individual investors in the Czech Republic currently hold stocks related to\u00a0AI\u00a0in their investment portfolio.\u00a0This\u00a0is the highest percentage among all the countries surveyed, followed by the U.S., Germany, and Poland.<\/p>\n

The survey also revealed that the youngest age group of investors \u2013 18 to 34\u00a0years old\u00a0\u2013 showed the highest interest in\u00a0AI\u00a0stocks, with 46 percent holding them in their investment portfolio. Similarly, half of all investors between the ages of 45 and 54 hold shares in AI firms. One-third of all respondents said they plan to continue investing in\u00a0AI.<\/p>\n

eToro analyst Pawel Majtkowski stated:\u00a0“AI\u00a0stocks have been the driver of growth in the tech industry and the most important driver of the\u00a0U.S.\u00a0bull market over the past year.”\u00a0He also mentioned the launch of ChatGPT and other similar services, showing the potential of generative AI in investments.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”6769″ img_size=”large”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
