The delegation of Rothschild & Co, one of the world\u2019s financial groups led by Managing Director, Arielle Malard de Rothschild visited Georgia. The aim of the visit was to discuss the strategy of transferring the country into a regional financial hub under \u00a0the agreement signed \u00a0between the Government of Georgia and Rothschild & Co during the visit of Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia to Brussels recently. \u00a0\u00a0The delegation was received at the Government Administration. The issues on transformation of the country into the region\u2019s financial center, encouragement of investment flows, creating new job opportunities, sharing modern financial and technological innovations were among the subjects discussed between the two parties. The sides concluded to conduct active work on the agreed directions.<\/p>\n
Creation of special international financial zones in Tbilisi and Gonio has been discussed at the meeting as well. Expressing the point of view of the Georgian Government Georgian Prime Minister stated their priority being to\u00a0 ensure\u00a0 a significant number of employees working for international companies to consist of local citizens giving them opportunity\u00a0 for professional and career development. .<\/p>\n
The issue of developing Georgia\u2019s favorable investment environment and capital market being one of the main directions of the country\u2019s economic policy were among the subjects discussed at the meeting.<\/p>\n
The Georgian Prime minister assured maximal governmental support to the Rothschild & Co stating the importance of efficiency of work on the strategy and taking important steps towards attracting foreign financial resources and international financial companies to Georgia.<\/p>\n
